MATTHEW is a Brooklyn-based, Bay Area-raised queer filmmaker. His first film “Solo” was a Wasserman Award Finalist and won the King Award for Screenwriting at NYU’s First Run Film Festival. His film "The Mess He Made" will have its World Premiere at SXSW this March. He spent last year as legendary producer Scott Rudin’s Executive Assistant, and was credited on projects including Steve Jobs, Zoolander 2 and the Tony-winning productions of The Humans and A View From The Bridge. He currently works as a Director’s Assistant to Cary Fukunaga. Matthew received his BFA in Film & TV Production and minor in Dramatic Literature from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He is also the recipient of the 2015 Tisch ProFunds Grant and the 2017 Richie Jackson Artist Fellowship.

HIS SHORT FILM "SOLO" WAS A WASSERMAN AWARD FINALIST AND WON THE KING AWARD FOR SCREENWRITING AT NYU'S FIRST RUN FILM FESTIVAL (2016).  IT IS CURRENTLY BEING SUBMITTED TO FILM FESTIVALS.  MATTHEW SPENT LAST YEAR WORKING FOR PRODUCERS SCOTT RUDIN & ELI BUSH, AND WAS CREDITED ON "STEVE JOBS," "ZOOLANDER 2," AND THE TONY-WINNING PRODUCTIONS OF "THE HUMANS" AND "A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE."  HE CURRENTLY WORKS AS A DIRECTOR'S ASSISTANT TO CARY FUKUNAGA.
