ABOUT

MATTHEW is a Brooklyn-based, Bay Area-raised queer filmmaker. His first film “Solo” was a Wasserman Award Finalist and won the King Award for Screenwriting at NYU’s First Run Film Festival. His second short film "The Mess He Made" had its World Premiere at SXSW this March. He currently works as a Director’s Assistant to Cary Fukunaga. Matthew received his BFA in Film & TV Production and minor in Dramatic Literature from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He is also the recipient of the 2015 Tisch ProFunds Grant and the 2017 Richie Jackson Artist Fellowship.
